Intern in Argentina

The first week will include an in-depth orientation covering local business etiquette, health and safety, cultural norms, and even a Spanish language crash course in to make you proficient in Castellano, the Argentine version of  Spanish.  After a week of intensive orientation, you will work full-time at your internship for the next six weeks.  During that time, we’ll go on a couple of excursions, learn more about the issues facing Argentina, connect with social innovators, and build new friendships.

Your day will begin with a media luna and a cafe cortado before taking the bus or subway to work like the millions of Porteños do every day.  After work you may be invited by your co-workers to share some Mate (Yerba tea) or even go to an "After-office" to talk about the day's work. Your "lunfardo" or slang will surely improve rapidly as you make friends and learn what it takes to get things done in Buenos Aires. Of course, Tango, is an everyday affair which you can enjoy by attending a show or you can put on your dancing shoes and hit any number of Tango clubs.  Soccer, a fierce passion in Argentina, is also in every Argentine's blood so going to a game at the iconic "La Bombonera" stadium to see the Boca Juniors play is something that cannot be missed.  On the weekends you will be free to explore the different neighborhoods such as trendy Palermo, historic San Telmo, or stroll the boardwalks of Puerto Madero.
