You’ll be based in bustling Beijing and will soon see why Beijing is the center of political and cultural significance with its numerous temples, palaces, walls, and gates that reflect centuries of China considering itself as "the middle kingdom" as Chinese dynasties competed to control the "center of civilization."
Our staff will pick you up at the Beijing Capital International Airport and take you to our apartments located at a local University. The first week will include an in-depth orientation covering local business etiquette, health and safety, cultural norms, and a crash course in survival Mandarin. After a week of intensive orientation, you will work full-time at your internship for the next six weeks.
After work and on weekends you will be free to explore the mystery and history of this ancient capital. Grab a bicycle and follow the flow of folks as they go about their daily business. Take a walk on the wildside and order off the menu at a local eatery. After a day out exploring you might be ready to kick back in a comfortable chair, drink some fresh tea and prop up those tired toes and understand why reflexology is just so relaxing and healthy.
Needless to say, every day will be an adventure with opportunities to make new friends with your fellow interns and coworkers as well as get to experience how modern China works from the inside.
