You’ll be based just outside the beautiful city of Arusha, in northern Tanzania. Arusha is on the southern slopes of towering Mount Meru, its elevation of 4,500 feet keeps temperatures cool and humidity low.
Our staff will pick you up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and take you to our home-base. The first week will include an in-depth orientation covering local business etiquette, health and safety, cultural norms, and even a crash course in Swahili to make you proficient in the basic greetings. After a week of intensive orientation, you will work full-time at your internship for the next six weeks. During that time, we’ll go on a couple of excursions, learn more about the issues facing Tanzania, connect with social innovators, and build new friendships.
