Like our sister company Global Leadership Adventures, Terra Intern Abroad is a division of Terra Education. We are connected with the African Leadership Academy in South Africa through it's founder Fred Swaniker. Fred's vision is to transform Africa by building a pan-African secondary school to develop its future leaders. Fred's vision of social change in Africa is also what inspires us to enable international internships in developing countries with mission-driven social enterprises, non-profits, NGO's and sustainable businesses. Our goal is to enable university students, recent graduates and young professionals to explore a path of the social entrepreneur, so they might potentially:

ventures to have a positive social impact. In short, to become the future changemakers in areas such as education, healthcare, community and economic development, and the environment.
Our Mission
To empower students to become globally minded professionals by enabling hands-on internships with organizations around the world that are making a difference. We do this by creating an international network of in-country partners and local grass roots organizations who are working to improve the welfare of their community in areas such as education, healthcare, the environment, community development, social entrepreneurship, women's empowerment and more. Terra Intern Abroad is open to work with non-profits, non-governmental organizations, sustainable businesses and mission-driven social enterprises.
