Overview

With Terra Intern Abroad, parents are an important part of the successful international internship equation. Like any quality internship abroad program, parents are encouraged to be involved and ask questions during the internship process from the beginning so you too can share in this important life experience.

We understand parents all have unique relationships with their children. Therefore the Terra Intern Abroad philosophy is to be an extention of your relationship while your loved one is abroad.

We want you to have a firm understanding of all the key components involved in the international internship process. This includes your initial research on potential international internship programs, understanding the differences between program providers, selecting which international internship will meet your child's learning objectives, work experience criteria and professional development goals, your being comfortable with the safety and support that will be provided in the developing country, getting insight into how the internship will be contributing a social benefit to a local community, to sharing in the happy return and formulating next steps to continuing in their chosen direction.

Our Mission

To empower students to become globally minded professionals by enabling hands-on work experience with organizations around the world that are making a difference. We do this by creating an international network of in-country partners and local grass roots organizations who are working to improve the welfare of their community in areas such as education, health care, the environment, clean energy, economic development, agriculture and more.
