Supervision

Supervision is provided in two distinct ways at Terra Intern Abroad.

Internship Supervision

Supervision over the work performed is designed into each individual internship project. Internships are learning opportunities where supervision is meant to provide direction and valuable feedback of your work. This type of supervision is mandatory of all of our international internship projects so that we can ensure a valuable and meaningful work experience.

Off hour Supervision

Doing an internship abroad in a developing country is an exciting adventure where many unplanned events can and do happen. Terra Intern Abroad provides a safety net for our international interns, not stifling minute by minute supervision. Interns will have the freedom to explore their surroundings at their own pace and on their own terms always with the peace of mind that should something happen, professional support is close at hand.

Our in-country staff members are extremely knowledgeable about the communities where we work. This gives them insight into the people and culture that will help our interns have the best internship experience possible.

Our Mission

To empower students to become globally minded professionals by enabling hands-on internships with organizations around the world that are making a difference. We do this by creating an international network of in-country partners and local grass roots organizations who are working to improve the welfare of their community in areas such as education, healthcare, the environment, community development, social entrepreneurship, women's empowerment and more. Terra Intern Abroad is open to work with non-profits, non-governmental organizations, sustainable businesses and mission-driven social enterprises.
