Living abroad and engaging in an international internship is a complex endeavor, requiring a knowledgeable and experienced team of professionals. Terra Intern Abroad staff members are highly qualified to provide support and guidance to our international interns and local partners because they have years of experience in cultural exchange programming. They are internationally recognized and respected, passionate about international education, and dedicated to help you achieve your goals for your international work experience.

Living Accommodations

Each Terra Intern Abroad site is unique to the country – but in all cases, it has been selected for safety and comfort. It's a home away from home — to connect with other international interns and Terra Intern Abroad staff, reflect on your experiences, enjoy meals together, prepare for work, and relax.

Meals

At each Terra Intern Abroad site, we provide meals that are safe and healthy as well as purified water. We provide breakfast and most dinners.* We purposely do not provide all meals so that you have the opportunities to join your co-workers for lunch, go out for dinner with new friends or travel on the weekends without skipping meals. We strive for the right balance of support, while still allowing you to discover the community on your own.

Our Mission

To empower students to become globally minded professionals by enabling hands-on work experience with organizations around the world that are making a difference. We do this by creating an international network of in-country partners and local grass roots organizations who are working to improve the welfare of their community in areas such as education, health care, the environment, clean energy, economic development, agriculture and more. Terra Intern Abroad is open to work with non-profits, non-governmental organizations, sustainable businesses and mission-driven social enterprises.
